Complete Bow Setup

Bows are setup and tuned specific to their users, in other words you can’t expect to take a bow right off the rack and shoot it accurately. Various things such as: draw length, draw weight, cam synchronization, and arrow rest timing actively affect your shooting ability. In order for you to shoot your bow to the best of your abilities these things have to be adjusted specifically to fit you. The good news is that there is no need to worry about all these technical details yourself. Terry at TNT Archery has over a quarter of a century of experience setting up bows and can help you get your bow setup right. So, if you are buying a new bow from TNT Archery or have one that you picked up second hand Terry can get it tuned up just for you..

Custom Arrow Building

Just like everything else in archery the arrows that you shoot need to be tailor made for you and the bow that you are shooting. Shooting arrows that are not made specifically for your bow will decrease your accuracy, and can even be dangerous. Arrows fly most accurately and consistently when they are built custom for your bow. Everything from the draw length of your bow to the weight of the arrow shaft affect the arrow in flight. Terry at TNT Archery can take all the guess work out of arrow setup for you. When you buy arrows at TNT Archery Terry will help you to select the proper arrow for your bow setup, trim the arrows to your draw length, fletch them, and ensure that they weigh the proper amount.

Paper Tuning

Paper tuning is a great way to identify any problems that you may have with your bow setup that are affecting your shooting accuracy. Problems that are identifiable with a paper tune include some of the following: bad arrow rest position, improper shooting form, to much arrow spine, or arrows hitting bottom of sight window. Resolving issues that are identified with a proper paper tune will help you to improve your accuracy and increase your enjoyment of the wonderful sport of archery.

Bow Sight Setup

Possibly the most critical piece of gear on your bow is your sight, and as such it is important to get it set up right. Setting up a bow sight is much more than mounting the sight to the bow and sighting it in. It is absolutely critical that the sight be level on all axes. Failure to set up a bow sight properly will cause inaccurate shooting, especially at longer distances. Terry at TNT Archery has installed thousands of bow sights, and as such knows how to do it right. Terry can have your new sight installed, and have you out shooting your bow accurately in no time at all.

Other services include bow string and cable replacement, indoor archery range use (new bow sales only), stripping and re-fletching used arrows, printing of sight tapes, and bow accessory installations.

A Short History

Terry Beck has owned and operated TNT Archery since 1996. In the early years the pro shop was a part time hobby for Terry, because most of the shop’s business occurred in the months leading up to the bow hunt. As the years passed by more and more people in the community became involved in archery, and as such an increased demand for an archery pro shop in the community was established. Seeing this increased need Terry opened the doors of the pro shop full time in the year 2008.

Over the years that Terry has owned TNT Archery he has attended the dealer schools for Hoyt, Matthews, Bowtech, and Prime. These schools, as well as his years of self led education have helped Terry to acquire the specialized knowledge and skills needed to adeptly setup and service bows. Since the opening of the pro shop Terry has sold and setup thousands of bows and installed countless other accessories such as sights, rests, stabilizers, strings, cables, quivers, and much more.
